Former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus’s health is improving, but he remains at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics for medical care, the hospital said Monday, LRT reported.
Adamkus was admitted on September 26 after a sudden health problem. Following tests and an assessment of his condition, he underwent surgery. The President’s Office said the operation went smoothly and that his recovery was in line with the early post-operative course.
BNS reported that Adamkus was admitted to Santaros Clinics earlier this year for a procedure to restore blood circulation in his legs. He is 99.
