Parts of Lithuania will see rain on Monday, with temperatures reaching 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, LRT reports. Simona Dalinkevičiūtė, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, told LRT Radio that winds would be light.

Some weather stations recorded ground frost on Monday morning, while fog was seen in parts of the south and southeast. The day will be cloudy with sunny spells as a low-pressure system moves away and an area of higher pressure approaches from the south. Rain is most likely in western Lithuania, where it may fall intermittently; isolated thunderstorms are also possible.

Clouds will break up somewhat on Tuesday night, with brief, light rain possible in a few places and a higher chance of rain on the coast. Fog may make driving conditions more difficult after dark. Winds will be light, and temperatures will range from 2 to 7 degrees Celsius, although ground frost of 2 to 4 degrees below zero is expected across much of the country. Some areas may get light rain during the day, with temperatures again reaching 10 to 15 degrees.

Wednesday will bring similar daytime temperatures, while overnight lows will range from 3 to 8 degrees, with milder conditions on the coast. Local frost of up to 3 degrees below zero is possible. A cold front is expected to arrive from the west early in the morning, bringing intermittent rain to many parts of the country through the morning and day. Winds will strengthen, with gusts of up to 17 metres per second forecast on the coast.

Warmer air is expected from Thursday. Daytime temperatures will reach 12 to 17 degrees through the weekend, while nights will generally be 5 to 10 degrees, and slightly warmer on the coast. Rain is expected on Thursday as winds ease. Friday night will be cooler, at 2 to 7 degrees, with frost returning to many districts and little chance of rain.
