Ukrainian IT company Eleks is acquiring a majority stake in Estonian IT company ADM Interactive to strengthen its capacity to develop digital solutions, ERR reports.
ADM’s current active shareholders and management will continue to lead the company, and the Estonian team is expected to grow. Estonia’s role within Eleks will focus primarily on developing its public-sector business.
“Eleks is very strong in the US and the UK. Estonia and its unit will primarily help the company expand its development of digital solutions in the European Union,” said Riho Pihelpuu, head of Eleks Estonia and ADM. He added that Estonian and Ukrainian technical solutions are similar and interconnected, noting that Ukraine uses a developed version of Estonia’s X-Road.
Eleks chief executive Andriy Krupa said the company’s social mission includes linking business interests with support for Ukraine’s path toward European Union membership. He described working toward that goal as part of the company’s mission.
