Valdas Adamkus undergoes surgery at Santaros Clinics

Former president Valdas Adamkus has undergone surgery at Santaros Clinics, a healthcare institution, and is recovering, LRT reported Tuesday, citing the institution.

Adamkus was admitted on September 26 after a sudden health problem. Following examinations and an assessment of his condition, he underwent surgery.

“The operation went smoothly, the president is recovering, and his condition is consistent with the early postoperative period,” Santaros Clinics said.

BNS reported that Adamkus was admitted to the clinics earlier this year for a procedure to restore blood circulation in his legs.
