Woman loses €9,999 through suspected fake bank website

A woman lost €9,999 after entering her banking details on a possibly fake bank website in Alytus, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.
The woman, born in 1974, entered her bank login details on the website on Thursday. The money was then fraudulently withdrawn from her account, police said.
An investigation has been opened into suspected fraud and unauthorised access to an information system.
