Warm, dry weather to start October in Lithuania

Temperatures in Lithuania will reach 21 or 22 degrees in some places during the first days of October, with mostly dry weather, LRT reported, citing forecaster Janas Voitkevičius of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Thursday will be variably cloudy, with no significant rain, although a few drops may fall in some eastern areas. Easterly winds will reach 5 to 10 metres per second, and temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees.

Friday will be dry, with light winds. Overnight temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees, or 11 to 13 degrees on the coast; daytime highs will reach 17 to 21 degrees. Saturday will bring no significant rain and light winds, with overnight temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees inland and 10 to 13 degrees on the coast. Daytime temperatures will be 16 to 21 degrees.

Rain is expected overnight on Sunday, when winds will strengthen to 6 to 11 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 6 to 11 degrees overnight and 14 to 19 degrees during the day. The forecaster said rain was likely in many places on Monday.
