Rain will spread across Estonia on Wednesday

Rain will affect many parts of Estonia on Wednesday, with heavier showers possible in places, ERR reports. Temperatures will reach 12 to 17 degrees during the day as moderate north and northeast winds strengthen along the coast.

Overnight, skies will remain partly cloudy and dry in western Estonia, while cloud cover increases in the east. Heavy rain will reach southeastern Estonia and spread westward after midnight. Thunderstorms and local fog are also possible.

Winds will mainly come from the north at 4 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second. Along the coast, winds will reach 6 to 12 metres per second, with gusts of up to 17 metres per second. Temperatures will fall to 4 to 10 degrees, or up to 13 degrees on the coast.

On Wednesday morning, the rain area will move from eastern Estonia towards the west, with locally heavy rain. Northerly and northeasterly winds will reach 5 to 12 metres per second, with gusts of up to 17 metres per second along the coast. Temperatures will range from 8 to 13 degrees.

On Thursday, rain will spread from the mainland to the islands. The rain will be heavy in places and will only begin to ease in eastern Estonia in the evening. Temperatures will average 13 degrees at the end of the working week.

Friday and Saturday will bring periods of clearer skies as well as rain, which may be heavy in places on Friday. Sunday will be changeable, with occasional showers. Average temperatures will be 14 degrees on Saturday and 15 degrees on Sunday.
