ERR programme examines Ukrainian gains and Russia’s mobilisation prospects

ERR reports that Sunday’s “Ukraine Studio” programme will feature Lieutenant Colonel Marten Suur and security expert Raivo Vare.

Russia’s losses, including those killed, missing and seriously wounded, have reached 1.5 million people, according to the programme’s introduction. In the Lyman region, Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps has recently made significant advances and recaptured positions from Russian forces.

S uur will explain the operation, codenamed “Vivaldi”, including why little information about it has reached the public and what its broader objectives are.

Vare will analyse President Donald Trump’s call for Ukraine to stop attacking Russian companies producing diesel fuel. He will also discuss who benefits from such statements and whether Russia’s weekend State Duma elections could pave the way for a new mobilisation.

“Ukraine Studio” begins on ETV at 8 p.m. The programme is hosted by Reimo Sildvee and edited by Johanna Alvin.
