Budrys heads to New York for UN General Assembly events

Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys will travel to New York on Sunday to attend United Nations General Assembly High-level Week events and a Security Council meeting, LRT reported.
From September 20 to 24, Budrys will take part in events focused on mobilising international support for Ukraine, a business forum on resilience and a high-level event titled “Strengthening security and resilience: The Baltic states and the US agenda.”
In New York, the minister will also attend meetings of European Union foreign ministers and of Nordic and Baltic ministers. He is scheduled to meet representatives of US Jewish organisations and attend an event marking the centenary of Lithuania’s Consulate General in New York.
Budrys is also due to hold bilateral meetings during the visit. President Gitanas Nausėda will also attend the UN General Assembly.
