Forecaster expects sunshine, showers and lingering autumn warmth
Friday will bring sunshine and some rain, with temperatures reaching 22 degrees Celsius in some areas, LRT Radio and LRT.lt report, citing Simona Dalinkevičiūtė of the Hydrometeorological Service.
The first half of the day will be less cloudy, but clouds will increase in the afternoon, especially in western districts, where brief showers are expected in places. Winds will strengthen from the southwest and south. Temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees, with the warmest conditions in the south and readings of 18 to 20 degrees in most areas.
Dalinkevičiūtė said that brief showers would affect many areas overnight into Saturday, with temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees. Saturday itself is expected to be pleasant, with more clear spells and brief showers only in places, most likely in the northwestern districts. Winds will strengthen to 9 to 14 metres per second, while temperatures will reach 17 to 22 degrees.
Unsettled weather will return on Sunday. Brief showers are expected in places overnight, while rain will become more persistent during the day and fall across many areas, with heavy rain in some places. Southwest winds will strengthen during the day, with gusts of up to 17 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will range from 11 to 16 degrees overnight and from 17 to 22 degrees during the day.
