Tallinn light festival opens in Kadriorg Park for four days

The Valgus Kõnnib light festival opened in Tallinn’s Kadriorg Park on September 16 and will run for four consecutive days, ERR reported.

This year’s festival features 17 light installations and three performances. Artistic director Argo Valdmaa said the programme offers both freshness and surprises.

“We have focused on ensuring that most of the installations also have sound design. We are trying to amplify people’s emotions through sound,” Valdmaa said.

In rainy weather, Valdmaa recommended that visitors bring raincoats instead of umbrellas, saying umbrellas could obstruct other visitors’ views.

The festival, now being held for the 19th time in Kadriorg Park, has the theme “The Glow of Shadows”. It runs daily from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. through September 19.
