Rainy Thursday to give way to warmer weekend weather
Thursday will be cool and rainy in many parts of Lithuania, with temperatures reaching 15 to 19 degrees Celsius, LRT reported, citing Janas Voitkevičius, a forecaster with the Hydrometeorological Service.
Short showers are expected in many areas, with thunderstorms possible in some places. Winds will come from the southwest and west at 9 to 14 metres per second, with coastal gusts reaching 15 metres per second.
Friday will be slightly milder, with rain expected only in some areas, particularly in northwestern districts. Winds will ease to 8 to 13 metres per second and come from the south and southwest. Overnight temperatures will range from 6 to 11 degrees, reaching 12 to 15 degrees on the coast. Daytime temperatures will rise to 17 to 22 degrees.
The weekend is expected to bring autumnal warmth, with temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees. Rain is possible in some places. Winds will be moderate at 7 to 12 or 9 to 14 metres per second, while coastal gusts on Sunday may reach 15 to 18 metres per second. Night-time temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees.
Cooler weather will arrive at the start of next week. Temperatures will range from 14 to 19 degrees, with intermittent rain across the country and winds of 8 to 13 metres per second.
