Cool Thursday will bring rain before warmer weekend weather

Thursday will be cool, with temperatures reaching 15 to 19 degrees Celsius and short periods of rain in many areas, LRT Radio and LRT.lt report, citing Janas Voitkevičius, a forecaster with the Hydrometeorological Service. Some areas may also see thunderstorms.

Southwesterly and westerly winds will reach 9 to 14 metres per second, with coastal gusts of up to 15 metres per second.

Friday will bring slightly better weather, with rain only in some areas, mainly in the northwestern districts. Winds will ease to 8 to 13 metres per second and will come from the south and southwest. Overnight temperatures will range from 6 to 11 degrees, reaching 12 to 15 degrees on the coast, while daytime temperatures will rise to 17 to 22 degrees.

Forecasters expect an autumnally warm weekend, with temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees. Some areas will receive rain, while winds will be moderate at 7 to 12 or 9 to 14 metres per second. Coastal gusts on Sunday may reach 15 to 18 metres per second. Night-time temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees.

Cooler weather will arrive at the beginning of next week, bringing temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, intermittent rain across the country and noticeable winds of 8 to 13 metres per second.
