Weekend to bring warm weather and little rain in Lithuania

Warm weather and limited rainfall are expected in Lithuania this weekend, LRT reports, citing the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Institute.

Saturday will be cloudy with sunny intervals, with brief rain in some places. Westerly winds will reach 4 to 9 metres per second, while temperatures will range from 16 to 21 degrees Celsius.

“There will not be much short-lived rain. The probability is higher in the western part of the country, where it may briefly rain,” Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Institute forecaster Paulius Starkus told LRT Radio.

On Sunday night, some areas may see brief rain. During the day, showers are expected mainly in western and northern districts. Winds will come from the southwest and south, reaching 4 to 9 metres per second at night and 6 to 11 metres per second during the day. Temperatures will fall to 6 to 11 degrees overnight, 12 to 15 degrees on the coast, and rise to 16 to 21 degrees during the day.

Brief rain is expected in some areas on Monday night and in many parts of the country during the day. Winds will be variable at 4 to 9 metres per second. Night-time temperatures will range from 9 to 14 degrees, reaching up to 16 degrees on the coast, while daytime temperatures will rise to 17 to 22 degrees.
