Bikers disrupt Muslim prayers outside Kaunas mosque

A group of bikers disrupted Muslim prayers at a mosque, a place of worship, in Kaunas on Friday, chanting “Lithuania” and making noise, LRT reported. The news portal Kas vyksta Kaune also reported that a pig’s head was brought to the mosque.

Video posted on social media shows bikers gathered around the mosque during the prayers. They chanted, played music and made noise.

The bikers interviewed by Kas vyksta Kaune could not explain what specific message they wanted to convey. Their behaviour angered members of the Muslim community.

One woman interviewed by the portal described the situation as shocking, saying people come to the mosque to pray. No larger confrontation broke out, while additional police forces guarded the building.
