More than 106,000 euros has been donated to a campaign supporting the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, LSM reported on Wednesday. The campaign, organised by Latvijas Sabiedriskais medijs together with the charitable organisation Ziedot.lv, had raised 106,358.82 euros.
The campaign, titled “Together with Ukraine in thoughts and deeds!”, is collecting funds until September 13 to provide Ukrainian soldiers with medical care, psychological support, opportunities to regain their strength and help returning to society.
Donations can be made through the Ziedot.lv website or by calling 90204113. The call costs five euros, including value-added tax.
Soldiers returning from the front need both medical and psychological support to recover from the physical and mental trauma caused by the war and regain their strength for everyday life.
Since the start of the war, LSM and Ziedot.lv have collected more than two million euros to support aid to Ukraine. Previous campaigns raised 896,701 euros for Ukrainian refugee children in Latvia in 2022, nearly 355,000 euros in February and March 2024, nearly 335,000 euros in August and September 2024, more than 465,000 euros in February and March 2025, and 240,000 euros in August and September 2025. More than 745,000 euros was collected in a Ukraine support campaign in February this year.
