Scammers stole more than 200,000 euros from Kaunas companies

Scammers stole more than 200,000 euros from the accounts of companies operating in Kaunas, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.

Police said the Santaka police station in Kaunas received a man’s report on Monday. He said that between September 5 and 6, after the fraudsters obtained data belonging to his companies, they took 200,810 euros from the companies’ accounts.

Police have launched a pre-trial investigation into the unlawful use of an electronic payment instrument or its data.
