Man detained in Alytus after woman injured with knife

LRT reported that police detained a man in Alytus on Sunday after he allegedly injured a woman with a knife.

The man, born in 1997, was detained at about 1:54 p.m. in an apartment on Naujoji Street, according to the Police Department.

Initial information indicates that he injured a woman born in 2002 during a conflict. After receiving medical assistance, she was treated as an outpatient.

The suspect was taken to the long-term detention facility at the Alytus County Chief Police Commissariat. Police have launched a pre-trial investigation.
