Lithuania to reach 25 degrees as week begins

The first half of the week will be warmer with less rain, while cooler and wetter weather is expected towards the weekend, LRT reports, citing Simona Dalinkevičiūtė, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Monday will be cloudy with sunny spells. Brief, light rain may fall in the afternoon from thicker clouds. Southwesterly to westerly winds will reach 5 to 10 metres per second, and temperatures will rise to 17 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday night will be dry, with winds easing and temperatures ranging from 8 to 13 degrees. During the day, a cyclone will approach, bringing rain to the coast in the evening. Southerly winds will strengthen to 7 to 12 metres per second, while temperatures will reach 20 to 25 degrees.

Rain is expected in most areas on Wednesday and Thursday, while winds will ease. Night-time temperatures will range from 12 to 17 degrees. Daytime temperatures will reach 20 to 25 degrees on Wednesday and 15 to 20 degrees on Thursday.

According to the forecaster, cooler and wetter weather will return in the second half of the week.
