Slightly warmer weather expected next week

Sunday will bring little sunshine and scattered rain, while temperatures will reach up to 21 degrees Celsius. Slightly warmer days are expected at the start of next week, LRT reported, citing Hydrometeorological Service meteorologist Elena Klyukina.

Sunday’s high temperatures will range from 16 to 21 degrees. Brief rain is expected in many places, with little sunshine and a chance of thunderstorms. Northwesterly winds will reach 9 to 14 metres per second, with gusts of up to 15 to 17 metres per second in some areas.

Monday will bring no major changes. Brief rain is possible in places, while fog may develop before dawn. Winds will initially be northwesterly before shifting to southwesterly, at 5 to 10 metres per second. Overnight temperatures will range from 7 to 12 degrees, with warmer conditions on the coast, while daytime temperatures will reach 18 to 23 degrees.

In the following days, some areas may receive brief rain. Winds will be moderate, mostly from southerly directions. Temperatures will be typical of early autumn, ranging from 8 to 13 degrees at night and 20 to 24 degrees during the day.

No dangerous weather phenomena are expected. Winds will generally be moderate, although stronger gusts are possible on the coast on Thursday, Klyukina said.
