Woman posing as social worker cheats elderly Klaipėda resident out of €11,000
Lithuania A woman posing as a social worker cheated an elderly resident of Klaipėda, a port city, out of €11,000, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.
The woman, born in 1939, met a stranger in Klaipėda on Friday. The stranger introduced herself as a social worker and obtained the money through deception.
Police have opened a pre-trial investigation into fraud.
