Police say Jevgenijus Šuklinas died of natural causes

Police have determined that former athlete and Lithuanian parliament member Jevgenijus Šuklinas died from natural causes related to his health, LRT reported.

The conclusion was reached after forensic medical experts submitted their findings. Police said they had found no other circumstances that could have contributed to his death.

The pretrial investigation is continuing, with procedural actions still being carried out.

Šuklinas died suddenly in late May after his health deteriorated. He was in his 41st year.
