More than 77,000 euros has been donated to a campaign supporting the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, Latvian Public Media LSM reported. The campaign, organised by LSM and charity organisation Ziedot.lv, has so far collected 77,573 euros.
The campaign, titled “Together with Ukraine in thoughts and deeds,” is raising funds for medical care, psychological support, recovery and reintegration into society for Ukrainian soldiers.
Donations can be made online through the Ziedot.lv website or by calling 90204113. The call costs 5 euros, including value-added tax.
The campaign runs from August 17 to September 13 and marks Ukraine’s Independence Day. Organisers said soldiers returning from the front need both medical and psychological support to recover from the physical and mental trauma caused by the war.
LSM said it has raised more than 2 million euros for aid to Ukraine in cooperation with Ziedot.lv since the start of the war. Previous campaigns collected 896,701 euros for Ukrainian refugee children in Latvia in 2022, nearly 355,000 euros in early 2024, nearly 335,000 euros in August 2024, and more than 465,000 euros between February and March 2025. A further 240,000 euros was raised between August and September 2025, while this year’s February campaign collected more than 745,000 euros.
