Vilnius police open two investigations into violence against minors

Vilnius County Police opened two pre-trial investigations into alleged violence against minors on Wednesday, LRT reported.

Police said they received a report that a woman had assaulted a girl born in 2012 in the yard of a house in the Vilnius district at about 6:30 p.m. on August 31, causing her physical pain.

On the same day, officers received another report concerning a possible assault. According to police, a woman born in 1985 and a man born in 1981 had assaulted a girl born in 2012 at a home in Vilnius on Tuesday, causing her physical pain.

In both cases, investigations were opened on suspicion of causing physical pain or a minor health impairment.
