Tallinn Hospital, a company owned by the city of Tallinn, plans to commission a brand book for an estimated 59,000 euros, ERR reported. The book will define the hospital group’s visual identity, including its logo, typeface and use across different communication materials.
Tallinn plans to merge East Tallinn Central Hospital, West Tallinn Central Hospital, Tallinn Dental Clinic and Tallinn Ambulance Service into the new organisation, which is intended to become one of Estonia’s leading medical centres.
Although the design of the new medical campus has been put on hold, the city is continuing to establish the organisation and is seeking a partner to create its visual identity.
The procurement aims to produce a style guide and an overall brand concept that will define the group’s brand language and character, helping create a consistent and recognisable image across the organisation, according to the hospital.
The brand book is also expected to include a logo with an extension or slogan. The branding must be based on the organisation’s values, which will be mapped out beforehand. A unified visual identity is intended to help introduce those values and build trust among patients and employees.
Tallinn Hospital expects to sign the contract in October, with the brand book scheduled for completion by the end of March next year. The merged hospital is currently expected to begin operating on January 1, 2028.
On Tuesday, the hospital’s supervisory board appointed Margus Rink, who previously led Coop Pank, as its second management board member. Arkadi Popov is also a member of the management board.
