Parliament committee to examine defence sector problems

Estonia’s Riigikogu state budget control special committee will discuss a National Audit Office report highlighting serious problems in the defence sector on Wednesday, ERR reported.

The public session begins at 9 a.m. and will also be attended by Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur. It will be streamed on the ERR portal.

Other invited participants include Ministry of Defence Secretary General Kaimo Kuusk, Chief of Defence Andrus Merilo, National Defence Investment Centre Deputy Director General Raili Roosimaa, Auditor General Janar Holm, National Audit Office Chief Auditor Ines Metsalu-Nurminen and the office’s communications director, Priit Simson.
