Kuressaare Airport has reopened its runway to aircraft and passengers after three weeks of reconstruction, ERR reported. The runway received a new asphalt surface and fresh markings, while preparations were made to install new runway lights, Tallinn Airport said.

About 15,000 tonnes of asphalt were laid across an area of 100,000 square metres during the works.

The renovation is not yet fully complete because the runway lights still need to be replaced. Their replacement will not disrupt the airport’s normal operations, Tallinn Airport said.
