School investigates employee over alleged unethical conduct

The Oskars Kalpaks Professional Secondary School has launched an internal investigation after receiving a complaint from a student’s parent about alleged unethical conduct by an employee, LSM reported, citing the school.

The employee was immediately suspended from performing their duties until the investigation is completed. The school is cooperating with law enforcement authorities.

School director Lieutenant Colonel Aivars Spriedējs said the alleged conduct was inconsistent with the school’s values.

“Our priority is the safety and emotional wellbeing of students, as well as respectful treatment. Any breaches of professional ethics are unacceptable,” he said.

The school will review its internal regulations and procedures to further strengthen safety and ethics standards. Its management has pledged to take all necessary steps to prevent similar situations in the future.
