LSM campaign raises over 70,000 euros for Ukrainian soldiers’ rehabilitation

More than 70,000 euros has been donated so far to a campaign by Latvijas Sabiedriskais medijs, or LSM, and charity organisation Ziedot.lv to support the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers. The campaign has raised 70,072 euros, LSM reported.

The campaign, titled “Together with Ukraine in thoughts and actions”, was launched to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day. It will fund medical care, psychological support, recovery and assistance with returning to society for Ukrainian soldiers.

The campaign runs from August 17 to September 13. Donations can be made through the Ziedot.lv website or by calling 90204113. The call costs five euros, including value-added tax.

LSM said soldiers returning from the front need both medical and psychological support to recover their strength and treat physical and psychological trauma caused by the war.

Since the start of the war, LSM and Ziedot.lv have raised more than two million euros to support aid for Ukraine. Previous campaigns collected 896,701 euros in 2022, nearly 355,000 euros in early 2024, nearly 335,000 euros in August and September 2024, and more than 465,000 euros between February and March 2025. A further 240,000 euros was raised in August and September 2025, while this year’s February campaign collected more than 745,000 euros.
