Liias and Butkevych to discuss Ukraine war on ERR programme

ERR reported that Monday’s edition of Ukraine Studio will feature Lieutenant Colonel Taavi Liias and Ukrainian journalist and human rights advocate Maksym Butkevych, who has experienced imprisonment in Russia.

Russia and Ukraine are exchanging massive air strikes, while neither side has made significant advances on the front line. However, Russia’s slow advance is making the situation in the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk area increasingly difficult, Liias will analyse the latest developments.

Prisoners of war and civilians are paying a particularly high price in the conflict. Butkevych will discuss Russia’s treatment of prisoners of war, as well as the importance of investigating all alleged crimes and bringing those responsible to justice.

The programme, hosted by Epp Ehand and edited by Marko Tooming, will air at 9:40 p.m.
