ERR reports that the ETV discussion programme Impulss will return for its autumn season with a new studio design and a diverse group of guests, including outgoing President Alar Karis and musician Nublu.

The programme’s editorial team invited people from different backgrounds to sit around the same table, including transport worker Mart, disability rights advocate Hendra Raud, Olympic champion Katrina Lehis and a young girl. “Our wish is to show that very different people should be brought together around one discussion table,” presenter Anna Pihl said.

The gathering around a table was also symbolic, as the programme’s studio design is changing. Its central feature will be a large round table, which Pihl said should give everyone a voice and encourage a discussion culture based on listening and politeness.

Impulss will return to ETV on Tuesday, September 1. The opening programme will focus on the presidential election. Pihl and Taavi Eilat will host the programme this season.
