LSM campaign raises over 63,000 euros for Ukrainian soldiers’ rehabilitation

More than 63,000 euros has been donated to a campaign supporting the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, Latvian Public Media LSM reported.
As of Thursday, donations to the campaign had reached 63,507 euros. LSM is running the campaign “Together with Ukraine in thought and action” with the charity organisation Ziedot.lv to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day.
The campaign aims to fund medical care, psychological support and comprehensive rehabilitation, helping Ukrainian soldiers recover from physical and psychological trauma, regain their strength and return to society.
Donations can be made through the Ziedot.lv website or by calling 90204113. A call costs 5 euros, including value-added tax. The campaign will run until September 13.
Previous campaigns
LSM and Ziedot.lv have collected more than 2 million euros for aid to Ukraine since the start of the war.
In February 2026, a campaign supporting Ukraine raised more than 745,000 euros. In 2025, campaigns collected more than 465,000 euros between February 6 and March 2, and 240,000 euros between August 18 and September 3.
In August 2024, a campaign held around Ukraine’s Independence Day raised nearly 335,000 euros. Another campaign that year, marking two years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, collected nearly 355,000 euros.
In 2022, the LSM charity marathon “Dod pieci!” raised 896,701 euros to support Ukrainian refugee children in Latvia.
