Weekend to bring rain after warm end to week
Temperatures will reach up to 25 degrees Celsius by the end of the week, but rain is expected over the weekend, LRT Radio reports, citing Janas Voitkevičius, a forecaster with Lithuania’s hydrometeorological service.
Thursday will be dry, with light winds and temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Friday is also expected to remain dry. Overnight temperatures will fall to 7 to 12 degrees, reaching 13 to 15 degrees on the Curonian Spit. Daytime temperatures will rise to 20 to 25 degrees, while the coast will be cooler, reaching up to 21 degrees.
The final weekend of summer will bring some change in the weather. Saturday night is expected to remain dry, but brief showers are forecast in many districts during the day, with thunderstorms possible in some places.
Winds will strengthen, with gusts reaching up to 16 metres per second. Daytime temperatures will range from 18 to 23 degrees, rising to 25 degrees in eastern Lithuania.
