Rahva Raamat publishing house has released American bestselling author Dan Brown’s new novel, “The Secret of Secrets,” ERR reported. The book, published in English last year, was translated into Estonian by Eve Laur.
Robert Langdon becomes caught up in a series of events in Prague after the famous academic Katherine Solomon disappears without a trace from their hotel room. Far from home and outside his comfort zone, Langdon must use all his ingenuity to recover the woman he loves.
Prague is portrayed as an old and dangerous city steeped in folklore and mysticism. Against a backdrop of fortresses, churches, cemeteries and underground passages, Langdon must navigate a shadow city hidden in plain sight while deciphering the world around him and avoiding the forces of betrayal and deception.
“The Secret of Secrets” is Brown’s first novel in eight years to feature Robert Langdon, the character known from books including “The Da Vinci Code” and “The Lost Symbol.” Three Langdon novels have been adapted for film by Ron Howard, with Tom Hanks in the lead role.
All of Brown’s works have previously been published in Estonian.
Netflix is also planning a television series based on “The Secret of Secrets.” Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall have been confirmed as its lead actors.
