Südalinna Theatre will premiere “Neverland”, a production based on Andrei Ivanov’s play “It Is All Him”, on August 29, ERR reports. The production is a collaboration between the OKOLO Teatra theatre studio and Südalinna Theatre.

Directed by Anastasiia Pylaeva and Dmitri Kordas, the production features professional theatre artists alongside teenagers. For the young performers, the story is not only artistic material but also a personal confession, allowing them to explore their own experiences, fears and inner conflicts on stage.

“Neverland” examines the growing invisible barrier between young people and adults, behind which lie fear, exhaustion, loneliness and the inability to be heard. Parents and children live side by side but seem to inhabit different worlds, while digital reality, social media and virtual identities deepen the distance and create an illusion of closeness instead of genuine contact.

The project also includes a programme on Raadio 4, a radio station, where teenagers from different social and educational backgrounds discuss their dreams, worries, loneliness and relationships with adults. Each performance will be followed by an open discussion with a psychologist about the breakdown of dialogue between generations and whether people can learn to listen to one another again.

The production’s set designer is Jekaterina Sedova, lighting designer Anton Andrejuk, musical designer Aleksandr Žedeljov, video designers MZ Studio and Vladimir Tok, and choreographer Anastasia Lider. The cast includes Tatjana Jegoruškina and members of the OKOLO Teatra studio.
