Elmo Rent creditors have until September 1 to file claims

Creditors of bankrupt car rental company Elmo Rent have until September 1 to submit their claims to the bankruptcy trustee, ERR reports.

Harju County Court declared Elmo Rent bankrupt on June 30. Creditors can submit their claims to the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee, Jüri Sirel, until the September 1 deadline.

Claims submitted after the deadline will still be accepted, but they will be satisfied last in the bankruptcy proceedings.

The Insolvency Service is also investigating whether the debtor and people close to it may have acted unlawfully, contributing to the debtor’s insolvency or worsening its payment difficulties.

As of Monday, Elmo Rent owed the state nearly 632,000 euros in taxes.
