Estonian television, ETV, Terevisioon

Estonian public broadcaster ERR’s morning programme Terevisioon will return to ETV on Monday, August 24, with a new presenter and several new contributors.

The programme’s new presenter will be announced during the season’s opening episode. The change follows Reimo Sildvee’s move to the investigative programme Pealtnägija.

Katrin Viirpalu, Martha-Beryl Grauberg and Juhan Kilumets will return to the studio. Viirpalu will also take on the role of responsible editor, overseeing the programme’s content.

“Terevisioon is new at the start of every season. Our hardworking editorial team has rested, and good ideas are overflowing,” Viirpalu said. She added that the team considered it an honour to help viewers start their days with music, food, movement and topics from Estonia and around the world.

The opening programmes will cover issues including the presidential election and children who have not yet secured a place at school. On September 2, the programme will also be broadcast from the Riigikogu, Estonia’s parliament, starting at 6:45 a.m. Food writer Mari-Liis Ilover will offer ideas for using up baskets full of chanterelle mushrooms.

ETV’s first television news bulletin of the day will also return on Monday with new presenters. Alongside familiar presenter Liisbeth Rats, the morning news will be presented this autumn by Anett Peel and Anne Mari Saks.

Terevisioon will air from 6:45 a.m. starting August 24.
