Friday will bring variable cloud, rain showers and isolated thunderstorms across Estonia, ERR reports. More intense rain and thunderstorms are expected to spread across the country on Saturday.

Overnight, a small secondary cyclone will move from the Gulf of Finland beyond Lake Ladoga. Cloud cover will vary, with showers in many places, a chance of thunderstorms and fog. Westerly winds will reach 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 14 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will range from 8 to 14 degrees Celsius, reaching 16 degrees on the coast.

Friday morning will be partly cloudy, with more cloud in southeastern Estonia and occasional showers. Winds will blow from the west, shifting to the south on the islands, at 2 to 8 metres per second. Gusts may reach 13 metres per second on the coast of Virumaa. Temperatures will rise to 12 to 17 degrees.

During the day, cloud cover will remain variable, with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Southerly winds will reach 3 to 9 metres per second, while westerly winds will prevail on the northern coast during the morning. Coastal gusts may reach 13 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees.

Clouds will thin in places on Friday evening, but showers will continue in many areas and thunderstorms will remain possible. Southerly winds will reach 2 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 11 metres per second on the coast of the islands. Temperatures will be between 15 and 19 degrees.

Cloud cover will increase on Saturday, when intense rain will spread from south to north and northeast across the country, accompanied by thunderstorms. Temperatures will reach 15 to 19 degrees.

Sunday will also be cloudy, rainy and thundery. Skies will become clearer at the beginning of next week, although occasional showers will persist. Average temperatures are forecast at 16 degrees on Sunday, 18 degrees on Monday and 20 degrees on Tuesday.
