Enniste says he likes today’s Estonia

Entrepreneur Vello Enniste said he was pleased with Estonia’s development at the president’s rose garden reception, while columnist Tarmo Jüristo praised the president’s speech and said Estonia had much to be happy about, ERR reported.

“I like today’s Estonia. It is very evenly developed. I am pleasantly satisfied that it has turned out this way,” Enniste said. He added that although people complain about high prices, “you can also take half a ticket,” referring to a line by musician Nublu.

Jüristo said the president’s speech was strong both rhetorically and in its imagery. He said it was well structured, looked towards the future and focused extensively on young people.

He also praised the Icelandic president for immediately adopting the tone of the speech. Jüristo said presidential speeches always risk trying to become historic, but the president had chosen an important subject by focusing on young people.

Enniste said it was difficult to involve young people in entrepreneurship because they could see how demanding the field was and were initially reluctant to participate.

“Once things start going well, they do come along, and then it has to be handed over immediately,” Enniste said with a smile.

“August 20 could be a day to be happy about what we have. Overall, in the bigger picture, things are very good for us,” Jüristo said.
