More than €30,000 has been donated to a Latvian campaign supporting the medical and psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, LSM reported. The campaign had raised €30,368 as of Thursday.
Latvian Public Media is running the “Together in thoughts and actions with Ukraine” campaign with the charity organisation Ziedot.lv. Donations will support comprehensive rehabilitation for Ukrainian soldiers returning from the front.
The campaign runs from August 17 to September 13. Donations can be made through the Ziedot.lv website or by calling 90204113. The call costs €5, including value-added tax.
Organisers said returning soldiers need both medical and psychological support to recover their strength and treat physical and mental trauma caused by the war.
LSM and Ziedot.lv have raised more than €2 million for aid to Ukraine since the start of the war. Previous campaigns collected €896,701 for Ukrainian refugee children in Latvia in 2022, nearly €355,000 in early 2024, nearly €335,000 in August and September 2024, and more than €465,000 and €240,004 in two campaigns in 2025. A support campaign held in February this year raised more than €745,000.
