A 19-year-old resident of Klaipėda District was fined 3,500 euros after receiving cannabis and other narcotic substances from abroad through a parcel locker, LRT reported.

The Klaipėda Regional Prosecutor’s Office completed a pretrial investigation and referred the case to court through a criminal order. The man was charged with illegally possessing narcotic or psychotropic substances without intending to distribute them, as well as smuggling them into Lithuania.

The investigation began in November 2025 after authorities received information that a parcel containing suspected drugs had been delivered to a parcel locker in Klaipėda District. The recipient had been listed under a false name and surname.

Inspectors found about 15 grams of cannabis and 10 gummies containing a psychotropic substance in the parcel. During a search of the recipient’s home in Klaipėda District in January 2026, officers also found cannabis and other drugs.

The man admitted committing the offences. The case was therefore concluded with a court-issued criminal order, and he was fined 3,500 euros.
