ETV2 dedicates Sunday theme evening to Mare Väljataga

ETV2, an Estonian television channel, will dedicate its Sunday theme evening to singer and vocal teacher Mare Väljataga, who turns 70 on August 16, ERR reports.
At 2.55 p.m., the channel will show Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da: Mare Väljataga from 2002. The programme features Väljataga, her student from Tallinn Music School, Jakko Maltis, and dance teacher Almer Jantsu. Väljataga and a quintet perform in the studio. The host is Reet Linna and the director is Maire Radsin.
At 3.45 p.m., Songs by Juliette Greco from 1989 will be broadcast. Väljataga performs songs by Juliette Greco with the Television and Radio Committee variety orchestra conducted by Tõnis Kõrvits. Kersti Kreismann reads poetry by Jacques Prévert. The programme was hosted and written by Lauri Leesi and directed by Toomas Lasmann.
At 4.35 p.m., viewers can watch Songs in an Old House: Mare Väljataga, a small concert filmed in 1984. The programme was directed by Georg Jegorov, with Enn Valk and Vaido Saar as camera operators, Enn Laidre as sound director and Ela Tomson as editor. The editor of the broadcast is Annika Remme.
