Prime minister discusses policy and security with independence signatories

Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius met members of the Club of Signatories of the Act of Independence on Thursday to discuss Lithuania’s domestic and foreign policy, LRT reported.
Those attending included club president Birutė Valionytė and board members Jonas Prapiestis, Egidijus Bičkauskas, Gediminas Vagnorius, Jonas Pangonis and Rolandas Survila.
“You are the architects of Lithuania’s independence and creators of a free state, so generations will speak your names with great respect and gratitude,” Sinkevičius said.
He said the meeting was an opportunity to discuss the signatories’ concerns and ask for their views on current national issues, which he said were important to him and the government in contributing to Lithuania’s development.
The signatories placed particular emphasis on the national security situation. They also discussed current issues related to commemorating the signatories.
