Burgas to host 2027 Eurovision Song Contest

Burgas will host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest in 2027, ERR reports, citing the European Broadcasting Union and Bulgarian National Radio.
The contest will take place at Arena Burgas, Bulgaria’s newest sports and entertainment complex, which opened in 2023.
The Black Sea city will welcome artists, delegations, fans, journalists and millions of television viewers from around the world for three live shows on May 11, May 13 and May 15, 2027.
The semi-finals will be held on Tuesday, May 11, and Thursday, May 13, followed by the grand final on Saturday, May 15.
Burgas, Bulgaria’s fourth-largest city, is known for its beaches, parks, cultural life and varied summer events. It has also established a reputation for hosting music, art and international cultural festivals.
A programme of additional events will take place in Burgas during Eurovision week.
Bulgarian National Radio said it wanted next year’s contest to be more than an event held in a single city. Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna, which also took part in the host-city competition, will be involved in the programme.
Bulgarian artist Dara won the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the song “Bangaranga”. The victory gave Bulgaria its first Eurovision win and the opportunity to host the contest in the country for the first time.
