Katelynas appoints three deputy ministers and ministry chancellor

Interior Minister Martynas Katelynas has formed his political team, appointing three deputy ministers and Laimonas Rudys as chancellor of the Interior Ministry, LRT reported, citing the ministry.

Linas Drazdauskas will oversee public security, while Vaidotas Jakštas, who is continuing in the role, will be responsible for implementing European Union structural support and regional policy.

Ana Burkovskienė will oversee civil protection, the protection of important state facilities, civil-military cooperation between institutions in the interior affairs system, and the State Critical Communications Network.

Rudys previously served as chancellor of the 19th Government, led by former Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas.

Katelynas’s advisers are Šarūnas Legatas, Šarūnas Dvareckas, Žygimantas Kalpokas and Arūnas Puodys. Legatas and Kalpokas will advise the minister on migration, Puodys on internal security, and Dvareckas on communications.
