kazlų rūda, missing person, search operation

LRT reports that a woman who went into a forest near Papilvys village in the Kazlų Rūda municipality on Sunday has gone missing.

Violeta Triponienė, born in 1952, was last seen at about 4 p.m. in a forest near the Aronija garden community, on the way to Papilvys. She is believed to have gone berry-picking and has not returned.

She may be completely disoriented because of stress. Triponienė is about 163 centimetres tall and has a slim build and grey or greyish-white hair. She was wearing a blue sweater, dark jeans and a black cap. She does not have a phone with her.

People with gardens or homes in the Aronija garden community and Byliškės are asked to share the information with neighbours and acquaintances in the area.

Anyone who sees the woman or has information about her whereabouts should immediately call the emergency number 112.
