Kaarel Aadli wins Estonian poetry slam championship

Kaarel Aadli was chosen as Estonia’s poetry slam champion at the Arvamusfestival in Paide on August 7, ERR reported.

Psychologist and writer Tiina Saar-Veelmaa, who competed in the Estonian Slam, finished second, while Tartu-based poet Janiš Laende took third. Tanel Mällo, Annabel Allas, Hanna Stiina Kangur, Ralph Rupert Nigul and Steven Eomois also reached the final.

With support from the Tallinn Slam Collective, Aadli will represent Estonia at the European Poetry Slam Championships in Graz, Austria, from November 19 to 21.
