Vilnius residents can now register in advance for visits to the city municipality’s Client Service Centre, LRT reported, citing the municipality.
The municipality said the advance registration system was introduced in response to residents’ requests. Service Department head Laurynas Jakubauskas said the change would allow people to choose a convenient service method and know exactly when they would be served.
Clients who do not register in advance will continue to be served on a first come, first served basis.
The centre offers more than 300 services and receives more than 800 Vilnius residents each day. The most common requests concern National Health Insurance Fund services, benefits and compensation, and declarations of place of residence.
