Lithuania’s parliament will hold an extraordinary session on August 25, parliamentary Speaker Juozas Olekas said, according to LRT.
Members of the parliament’s board approved the decision unanimously on Monday.
The registered order states that 48 lawmakers proposed convening the extraordinary session.
The parliament ended its extended spring session in mid July. Plans had to be revised after the governing majority changed, extending the session beyond its scheduled June 30 closing date.
The parliament holds two regular sessions each year. The spring session begins on March 10 and ends on June 30, while the autumn session runs from September 10 to December 23.
