Cloudy skies to cover most of Lithuania before Sunday sunshine

Most of Lithuania will be cloudy on Saturday, but sunny weather is expected to increase on Sunday, LRT reported, citing forecaster Tadas Kantautas.

Vilnius was in a small area of clear skies on Saturday morning, while the rest of the country was covered by clouds. Light rain was falling mainly in some western districts. Temperatures ranged from 11 to 17 degrees Celsius.

Sunday will begin with mostly cloudy skies and occasional sunny spells. Little rain is expected, with the highest chance in northern Lithuania. Strong westerly winds will blow, and temperatures will reach 18 to 23 degrees.

Weather conditions will improve overnight as high pressure strengthens. Skies will clear, although fog may form in some places. Temperatures will fall to 8 to 13 degrees, or up to 16 degrees near the coast.

Sunday will be sunny, with temperatures rising to 21 to 26 degrees.

Monday will bring mostly cloudy but dry weather. An atmospheric front will arrive during the day, with rain and thunderstorms spreading into western Lithuania in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 24 to 29 degrees.
